Google exec reveals mobile strategy, case studies, market potential

Google can target mobile search ads by location, device and carrier.

“What some advertisers are now doing, they’re starting to break out hybrid campaigns where you’re targeting both desktop and mobile platforms, or you can use specific messaging for each platform,” Mr. Barza said.

“For us at Google, location is very important for targeting on mobile devices,” he said.

The local explosion
One out of every three search queries have local intent, according to Google.
