Whole Foods Replaces Floor Stands with People

by Giuseppe Taibi on February 5, 2010

Get this: Whole Foods now gives customers the “Value Tour”, consisting of having an actual store associate escorting a customer around the store to show where the deals are! “Whole Foods started its value tours to let shoppers know that it has deals and discounts”, reports Susan Koeppen in her Supermarket Series segment. Now, that’s efficient and cost-effective!

You can see this nonsense along with some relics form the past in action such as high-tech carts and self-checkout handheld scanners from this Early Show clip.
