Yahoo shopping app gets panned

by SteveBayle on December 6, 2009

Kathryn Swartz at appolicious gives Yahoo’s iPhone shopping app the equivalent of a 1 star review.

Everyone is looking for a great deal this holiday shopping season and the Yahoo! Shopping iPhone app aims to put consumers in the know when it comes to comparing prices. However, Yahoo! Shopping doesn’t break any new ground and as a typical shopping/price comparison program, it falls flat.

In fact she concludes she’s better off using Google via her Safari browser than using a native iPhone shopping app.

The field of shopping apps is getting crowded and you have to deliver more than price comparisons from Amazon to make a difference to consumers.
