I had the type of experience today that I hope to prevent others from having.
After spending a great deal of time researching a space heater for our 2nd floor bathroom, I finally found the time to go to the mall to buy the one I picked out, only to find that I had both forgotten that there was no Sears at the Watertown Mall AND I left the print out of the make and model from the Web on my desk when I changed my pants this morning! So, the trip was totally wasted! The other frustrating part of this chore was that a large number of space heaters that are rated highly are NOT available in-store! They are only for sale online. I like to see what I’m buying when it comes to appliances, consumer electronics and pretty much anything that’s either not a commodity or not a book, DVD or CD. Believe it or not, there’s no good way to sort by in-store availability on many sites. If I’d had the iPhone app we plan to develop I’d have had recommendations from my social network, along with a Google map of which retailers to visit to buy the recommended space heater. I can hardly wait to use my iPhone to shop rather than my home computer plus print out!Previous post: WholeFoods Launches Online Coupons
